Powder Room Update

Neutral. Fresh. Bright. Clean.

The first step in this renovation was to remove the door and add a pocket door to open up the space.

With materials costing less than $650, this powder room refresh was well worth the time and money.

Materials:
Light $45
Fan $60
Vanity + Sink (Ikea) $100
Faucet $50
Toilet $250
Tile $25
Paint $20
Pocket Door $80

Material Total:  $630

The project involved minor structural changes to install the pocket door.  Replacing the new light fixture and installing a new fan required electrical work, and plumbing adjustments ensured that the new vanity was installed at the right height.  The project took about four days to complete.

New Kitchen Space

From tired traditional to energized contemporary

After living in their home for several years, this busy family of five realized that they needed to find a way to use the space in their kitchen and dining nook more efficiently.

They worked with a designer to select the new cabinets and to choose colours and textures to create a calm, comfortable space.  When they were ready to begin the reno, Mitsuo completed the structural changes needed to remove a window and add a wall, installed the tile floor, and painted the ceiling and walls.  He did just the work that the family needed help with.

We know that some folks like to be involved and "hands on" with their renovation; others like to be strictly "hands off."  We're happy to work with clients -- as much or as little -- as they wish.

Client Comments

It was wonderful having Mitsuo complete our kitchen renovation!  He has an incredible work ethic, he is meticulous in his workmanship and obviously takes great pride in his work.  Mitsuo always showed up on time and always left our home tidy at the end of the day, making the space as user friendly as possible throughout the renovation.  We would gladly use and recommend Mitsuo for any future renovations!

Bathroom Refresh

A relaxing spa . . . right at home

When these clients bought their home, they knew that creating a fresh, clean, comfortable bathroom was top on the list of things to do.

Mitsuo worked with the clients to install a new bathtub including fitting all new plumbing and adding a new tile surround with a tiled insert.  Accent glass tiles were included to complement the new marble-top vanity.  A new high-efficiency fan was installed and venting was updated.  To finish off the sophisticated look, Mitsuo installed a contemporary light fixture.

Client Comments

The guest bathroom in our twenty year old townhouse was showing its age. Together with Mitsuo we planned a major renovation. While we painted the walls, Mitsuo installed a new bath with modern fixtures, retiled the shower stall, inserted a new exhaust fan and shower light and customized a modern cabinet and sink. He did this on time, on budget and to our great satisfaction and that of our guests. Highly recommended.  J.H.

Brand New Kitchen Install

The Right Skills at the Right Price

This young couple purchased their first home last fall ready to tackle major renovations.  After a contractor miscommunication left them stranded with a huge kitchen installation cost, they asked Mitsuo for help.

Working together with the homeowners, Mitsuo was able to install the kitchen cabinets, modify the kitchen island, install the hood fan at a reasonable cost and in time to keep their renovation plan on track.
